Geek news from around the net

February 1, 2011 - Nick Recchia & Tom Worthington
Superman: Man of Steel:

Well there is a new Superman and his name is Henry Cavill. Cavill is best known for his role on "The Tudors". Look him up on IMDB and his default picture shows a man who can pull off a decent looking Superman. Take a deeper look at some of his other pictures and you might be a little disappointed. At least I was anyways. He doesn't seem anywhere big enough or tall enough to be Superman. Hopefully he bulks up...A LOT and the storyline is good. After the junk that was Superman Returns, if this one follows suit, I'm ready to throw in the towel for any hope of a good Superman. I just can't believe that in the entire world there isn't one guy who is kind of tall with a good build and has some decent acting chops that can fill the shoes of one of earths mightiest.

Madden Predicts Steelers as Superbowl Champs:

EA Sports has once again used Madden to predict the outcome of the Superbowl. Madden NFL 11 has the Steelers beating the Packers 24-20 with a game winning 36-yard TB pass to Mike Wallace. Packers had a chance to come back but in classic Aaron Rogers style he throws an interception to end the game. As a Steelers fan, I hope the actual game plays out like this. Well maybe not like this but with at least Pittsburg going home with their 7th Superbowl win.

CoD Black Ops Gets New Maps Today:

Just a reminder to all of you Black Ops fans out there, don't forget to download the new map pack. The "First Strike" DLC looks great, offering 4 new multiplayer maps and 1 new zombie mode map.

Rock Band 3 gets a major update:

Rock Band 3 has a new update fixing some major bugs. One of the main bugs that has been fixed is the well known "Eyebrow of Death". See the link to the right to find out what all has been changed in this update.

For more information on all of the above, follow the links to the right, near the top of this blog.
