| | Champions are FREE on Opening NightMarch 15, 2011 - Altoona CurveFor those of you who may not have seen it yet, the Altoona Curve are seeking any and all champions to join them (free of charge) at the team's home opener April 14 at Blair County Ballpark. The reason? We want the celebration of our 2010 Eastern League Championship team to be truly special. So, if you've grabbed top honors in athletics, academics, business, recreation, fundraising, or any other sanctioned, officially-recognized endeavor, all you need to do is visit the ballpark's box office between now and April 11, show that you've been a "champion" sometime in 2010 or 2011, and receive a free grandstand ticket to the opening night game. In addition, we'll ask all champions (or top honorees) to join us on the field for a pre-game ceremony with the returning Curve players from last year's team as they receive their championship rings and watch their championship banner raised. We're calling it our "Champions of Curve, Pa." program and it's already received a lot of interest. Please spread the word to any champions you know. We want to fill the field with champions from around the region and make it a community celebration!
